Jun 22, 2015
NBA Finals Game Four

NBA Finals Game Four

The Warriors found their groove and won 106-82 tying the series 2-2.

The NBA Finals game four had all the excitement and thrills that was expected of a finals game. It cannot be said that it wasn’t a trip. When you are the Warriors and you had to win, there was no better place than in Cleveland’s back yard. After all the Cavaliers did the same thing to them in game two so the treatment was expected to paid back in kind. Warriors coach Steve Kerr found a way to get through the Cavalier offense by changing up the line-up and going small. Golden State had a new strategy that Cleveland would have to learn to adjust to. The real comeback was in the fourth quarter of game three when Stephen Curry got back into the rhythm of his game that led the Warriors to 67 wins making gambling news.

The Cleveland Cavaliers got off to a quick start in the first quarter. Their court coverage looked good. Iman Shumpert hit an early three-pointer to help raise the score. Lebron, getting in on the action early, drove to one side of the paint and gives a “no look” pass to Mozgov who was wide open and dunked the ball which raised their lead. Igadawa, who is a starter, was impressive. Curry was a bit more tenacious this game.

Although Cleveland was in the lead, they started to look tentative around the fifth minute as more players stood around as Warriors were making plays. A shot by Clay Thompson gave the Warriors their first lead in more than one game. Coach Kerr got his wish for a more mobile, Warriors as Golden State kept their pace alive in the second quarter.

The Cavaliers, with only eight players used in the series, were anticipated to be tired if the pace was higher. Cleveland were making their boards, but weren’t affective scoring. The Warriors were passing excellently forcing Cleveland to work from behind. Matthew Dellavedova had a silent game at this point and Lebron wasn’t effective as he tried to adjust. Sean Livingston and Raymond Green are giving solid numbers for the Warriors.

Lebron got double teamed constantly and didn’t get the same looks he had before. Bogut finally appeared to cover Mozgov. Lebron fell down hitting his head on camera within five minutes of the end of the half. After a break to stop the bleeding and two shots at the line, Lebron returned. Bogut picked up his third foul in 2 minutes. Although Curry had only eight points, the warriors took the half 54-42 and any punter who bet on the Warriors with those sports scores should be dancing right about now.

Cleveland was more or less desperate in the beginning of the second half. Dellavedova made a three-pointer bringing the Warrior lead to 11. Iguodala threw the ball away as Cleveland got down to the other end and couldn’t complete the play. A behind the back pass by Smith to Movgov who finished with a layup, showed some signs of a pulse for Cleveland.

The Warriors pressure was proving too great for Cleveland. A couple of shots on the free throw line by Mozgov cut the Warrior lead to nine. A jumper by Iman Shumpert brought it to five. With the next transition being an alley oop by the Cavaliers, the game had a three-point separation. David Lee returned to the game, was fouled hard and made one foul shot. Cleveland was struggling as the quarter ended 76-70.

sbnation.com The real power of the Warriors’ bold lineup change

The spike that occurred in Warrior defense at the end of the third quarter continued to grow in the fourth quarter. Golden State was dominating the boards. Cleveland couldn’t seem to make a dent in the Warrior’s lead because of their poor shooting and their lack to recover key offensive and defensive rebounds. The small team adjustment made by Coach Kerr kept the Warrior offense able to capitalize enough on their opportunities.

The quarter seemed to be owned by Golden State transition after transition. Lebron came out that night looking a bit drained and ran out of options. Everything seemed to favor Golden state tonight. With a 20 point lead with two minutes left, any punter for Cleveland who used live sports results was by now “crying in the corner.” Golden State won 106-82 as the 2015 NBA Finals are officially tied 2-2.

A Review of Game Three of the NBA Finals: Cleveland vs. Golden State

Jun 22, 2015
NBA Finals Game Three

NBA Finals Game Three

The Cavaliers stayed strong with defense won again 96-91 leading the series 2-1.

The last two games ended in overtime and sent a clear message that there was much effort going into this series from both sides. As you can feel the excitement in the air of the excited Cleveland crowd, Lebron stops in front of NFL football legend Jim Brown and bows. Stephen Curry, who had the worst performance of his year, called game two a “fluke.” On Tuesday, he didn’t have the same appearance of ferocity as he did in the first game. This “other” Curry is more tentative at times and is actually starting to miss the ball more often. Cleveland won game 2 shooting 32 percent from the field. Lebron and company have found the secret recipe for breaking down the Warrior offense while making the latest gambling news.

espn.go.com Game 3 observations: Can David Lee save the Warriors?

Unlike the last two games, this game got off to a quick start as the Cavaliers put in 4 points before the Warriors scored a point. Stephen Curry was in foul jeopardy from the beginning. Thompson gets in some early boards as Cleveland gets more looks at the basket. Cleveland’s James Jones makes a four point play and starts his fire engulfed performance.

Golden State coach Steve Kerr had been encouraging his players to just keep the ball moving and pick up the pace. Although the Warriors can play slower, Cleveland is not as good at playing faster. Matthew Dellavedova is continuing the same “badass” defense he started last game. Curry loses the ball and two Cavaliers steal it ending the quarter 24-20.

Iman Shumpert, who received a shoulder injury in the first quarter, is kept out as the 2nd quarter continues. Thompson, who had 6 rebounds in eight minutes, is still a defensive force. The Warriors brought it close in the second quarter to a two-point game. JR Smith starts to feel his groove as his puts up a three pointer.

Bogut for the Warriors was able to block in the paint as he passed it to Clay Thomspon for an easy two. Mozgov, Bogut’s Cleveland counterpart was doing a better job. Shumpert came in and instantly produced. The Warriors hadn’t stayed too far behind, but Cleveland kept the lead. The Warriors could only manage 37 points as Cleveland led at the half with 44 making serious sports scores for punters.

Delladedova comes out hard in the third quarter as Cleveland pushed their lead to 10 which forced Coach Kerr to call a time out for the Warriors. Clay Thompson got his groove on with a serious dunk. Throughout the game, Cleveland benefits with shooting percentage thats10 percent higher. Curry made his first shot since the first 90 seconds of the first quarter.

With three minutes left, the Cleveland was leading by 20. A quick three-pointer by Curry calmed things a little. Lebron was controlled the tempo. Livingston could only do so much against Lebron as he put in his 24th point. Andrew Barbosa for Golden State put in a three-pointer. A seventh block by Lebron in the last 10 seconds ended the quarter.

usatoday.com Lebron James has secret motivation, apparently so do the Warriors.

Clay Thompson keeps it going and helps bring the score to within nine. David Lee of the Warriors was looking more like an “x-factor” in this game. His fresh play of the bench made the difference. Curry with 10 points in the quarter brought the game 77-73. Seven turnovers by Cleveland in the fourth quarter definite had put the Warriors back in the game. Curry started to act like his old self.

A mean alley-oop pass by Dellavedova to Lebron’s two handed slam rocked the crowd and put their lead back to five. Lee, at nine points, is still putting numbers on the board at three minutes left. Curry once again brought the score within one. Curry covered a less skillful Dellavedova and as he fell to the ground put up a crazy two-pointer that left Curry shaking his head while mumbling.

Lebron gets on Curry and he replied with fancy footwork and an around-the-back pass went to nobody as the Warriors got their first turnover in the quarter. Lebron obliged by taking it back up and making a three-pointer. The Warriors seriously started to come back and despite sports scores news on this game, betting on the Warriors next game may prove smart. But the 10-3 run by Cleveland was too much as the game ended 96-91.

Formula One returns to Europe after a trip to Canada, where Williams driver Valtteri Bottas was able to finish in front of the two Ferraris, though it was reported before the race that the Italian outfit brought an updated and more powerful engine to Montreal. Felipe Massa thinks that their Mercedes-powered car has the potential to fight for a podium finish again, while Ferrari president Sergio Marchionne revealed that he thought that four-time world championship winner Sebastian Vettel was the best choice for Ferrari. Now there is a Le Mans winner amongst the active drivers, as Nico Hulkenberg was able to pull out a victory in France last weekend in a Porsche.

Motorsport.com: Vettel the right man for Ferrari – Marchionne

Sergio Marchionne, the president of Ferrari believes that Sebastian Vettel will take back Ferrari to the top. The German driver took over Fernando Alonso’s seat as the Spaniard left Scuderia for McLaren. Vettel won the Malaysian Grand Prix this year and with his constant presence on the podium makes him the number one opponent for Mercedes.

Marchionne expressed that now they have the best man for the job, gambling news report. He said, “He is a complete driver. It is one of those things that is very difficult to find, he understands the car really well, and his execution style is beyond reproach.”

Marchionne also stated that he believes Vettel belongs to a delicate group of world champions. He added, “We are lucky to have him; my only objective is to give him the car that can make him win. That is it. The rest he needs to do and he can.”

Autosport.com: Williams F1 team aims to pressure Ferrari with Austrian GP upgrade

According to sports scores news, Williams driver Felipe Massa thinks that the Grove-based outfit can put some pressure on the Ferraris at the Austrian Grand Prix this weekend. His teammate, Valtteri Bottas was able to beat the Scuderia’s two cars in the last race in Montreal, however the Ferrari factory provided some key engine updates before the event in Canada.

Massa expressed that the Mercedes powered Williams cars have the potential to top the Ferraris once again. He said, “Looking at the upgrades on the [Ferrari] engine the difference [to Mercedes] is still similar and I think it shows that we can still fight at the front.”

The Brazilian driver revealed that he doesn’t know when the Mercedes factory will perform some updates regarding their engine. He said, “I don’t know when Mercedes will put some upgrades on the engine maybe when they do we can get stronger in that area.”

BBC.com: Le Mans: Nico Hulkenberg wins Le Mans from Mark Webber

Nico Hulkenberg, who succeeded with Nick Tandy and Earl Bamber in a Porsche, is the first active driver in Formula One who was able to win Le Mans in 24 years. That was the 17th title for Porsche, which is a record in the history of the competition, online mobile news report.

The last time an active F1 driver won Le Mans was in 1991, when Johnny Herbert was part of the team that came first. After the race, Hulkenberg said, “I’m speechless right now, to be honest.” The 30-year-old Tandy was more communicative. He revealed, “I could retire from racing tomorrow and look back on today and I am sure I would be happy for the rest of my life.”

Another Porsche, featuring former Formula One driver Marc Webber, came second and the best Audi was third, which meant that Porsche was able to end Audi’s five-year-long streak. The German car manufacturer won 13 of the last 15 editions of Le Mans.

Jack Wilshere Brace Helps England against Slovenia

The Three Lions travelled to Ljubljana to take on Slovenia in their EURO 2016 qualifier. Though Jack Wilshere impressed during the whole match, he had to raise his game after the hosts have capitalized on a defensive disorder from the visitors, to take the lead through Milivoje Novakovic in the first half. As team captain Wayne Rooney was missing sitters, Wilshere smashed the ball in twice from long range to secure the lead for England after the break. Since the hosts have equalized in the 84th minute however, Rooney had to add a goal himself to retain the 100% record for Roy Hodgson’s team.

ESPNFC.com: Jack Wilshere and Wayne Rooney rescue England in Slovenia

It seemed that Jack Wilshere will become the new hero of the English, until Slovenia equalized. That suggested two things, first, the English national team still has defensive problems, second, Wayne Rooney, who looked impotent for the most part of the game, had to join Wilshere to save the day.

Though he was far from his best, Rooney duly did so eventually to match Gary Lineker’s tally of 48 goals in the shirt of the Three Lions, which is only one less than record holder Bobby Charlton’s total of 49. He could have easily reach 50 against Slovenia, but he somehow managed to miss his biggest chances before he found the net two minutes after Slovenia levelled through Nejc Pecnik.

Before that, Wilshere was the man, who smashed the ball into the top right corner of Samir Handanovic’s goal twice from long range. Many followers of live sports results would agree that Internazionale goalkeeper had no chance to save either shots.

BBC.com: Jack Wilshere goal in England’s top 10, says Gary Lineker

The Three Lions’ former captain, Gary Lineker stated that against Slovenia Jack Wilshere scored one of the finest goals in England’s history. The Arsenal midfielder provided two goals in a comeback victory in Ljubljana, the second being a scorcher from 25 yards.

“Jack Wilshere scored two breathtaking goals” said Lineker. “I’m sure he hit the same square of the net on both occasions.” He added, “Let’s put it this way – if we had a top 10 he’d be in it.” These were the first goals from the 23-year-old player wearing the England shirt, according to sports scores news.

Through Wilshere’s double and an additional goal from Wayne Rooney the England national team retained its 100% record in the qualifying series for the EURO 2016. Wilshere usually plays in front of the defence, however after impressing in the second half with his attacking capabilities, Lineker believes that his perfect position would be a more advanced one had England provided natural holding midfielders.

England team captain Wayne Rooney expressed that Jack Wilshere, who scored two brilliant goals in England’s 3-2 victory against Slovenia, has the potential to become one of the best players in the world, gambling news report. Wilshere provided a comeback for England after Milivoje Novakovic broke the deadlock in the first half after some sluggish defending from the visitors.

After Wilshere turned the game over, Rooney had to put in the winner in the 86th minute as Nejc Pecnik equalized two minutes before. “He’s been fantastic,” Rooney commented Wilshere’s performance. “Jack and myself have formed a good understanding on the pitch when he’s in that deeper role. He’s still learning, he’s a young player but it’s a new role that he’s taken in his stride.”

Rooney went on to add “Hopefully he’s injury free because he will be a top player in world football.” National team manager Roy Hodgson also praised his player, saying, “Both strikes were fantastic and really summed up Jack’s game – in particular in the second half when he really took over the midfield.”

Jun 16, 2015
There are many reasons to follow Copa America

There are many reasons to follow Copa America

Since this is the only major tournament in the summer, everybody who loves the game or enjoys betting on football should watch this remarkable tournament. Maybe in not every match but spectacular football is guaranteed and you can make some money on it. Watch the greatest strikers in the world you get to know future prospects during the tournament!

Possibly the scouting team of your favourite club is also watching the games, and though this is not a youth tournament, you might be still proud to yourself if you found a talented but obscure footballer who will end up at some major European club in the summer. So, if you did not watch the games so far, have a look at our points, and make sure you will be in front of the telly when the next game kicks off!

WorldSoccerTalk.com: 5 Reasons to Watch the Copa América

The Copa America is always a terrific event, but this year the competition between Argentina and Brazil will be as fierce as ever, after both of them failed to win the World Cup in South America last year. But here are even more reasons to join the action in front of your TV set.

Though Luis Suarez is suspended you will still find a lot of superstars in Chile including Lionel Messi, Neymar, Alexis Sanchez and Sergio Aguero. Moreover the scheduling is also awesome for those followers of sports scores who watching the tournament from the Americas. The Europeans though still have to solve a problem similar to the one they faced twelve months ago.

The squads participating in the tournament also feature around a score of Premier League stars amongst others, so if you don’t like to observe teams fielding wholly unknown players, you will find a bunch of familiar names in almost every game.

WhoScored.com: Messi 2.0 ready to lead Argentina from the wilderness

Lionel Messi made his debut for Argentina 10 years ago, but he is yet to win his first trophy with the team. There is a perfect occasion for that, as he was reborn after the World Cup final that was lost in extra time last summer, to lead Barcelona to an historic treble. Now he has a task to go all the way in the Copa America to get his country level on the number of titles with Uruguay.

Of course, Messi wasn’t the only player in that Barcelona squad that won everything this season. The arrivals of Ivan Rakitic from Sevilla and Luis Suarez from Liverpool were main contributors to the success, however, the biggest effort obviously came from the Argentina captain, who changed for this season, together with Barcelona, and everything came off for them.

“We won every competition we entered and it’s incredible to do the treble again,” expressed Messi, according to gambling news. He added, “Thankfully, we were able to fulfil our objectives with our club and hopefully we can now gain more success with the national team which is what we all want.”

The Guardian: Guemez, Salcedo and Corona ones to watch at Copa America

Mexico’s main target for this summer is to win the Gold Cup, and in order to give a rest for his key players, Mexico manager Miguel “Piojo” Herrera virtually named a reserve squad to the 44th edition of Copa America. He left out high-profile players like Javier Hernandez, Andres Guardado, Giovani dos Santos and several others.

Still he stated that Mexico is able to win the Copa America with this squad, though El Tri never managed to win the competition in eight previous attempts. With the need of deploying two different squads, he called up virtually unknown players in international football, as well as names who weren’t featured by the national side recently, online mobile news report.

There are a few young players who could take on the opportunity to secure themselves a starting spot for the near future. Javier Guemez is a calm but aggressive defensive midfielder, while the 21-year-old centre-back, Carlos Salcedo, is the youngest in the squad, still playing like an experienced defender. Jesus “Tecatito” Corona is a brave forward, but in order to become the top asset of the team, he must stop trying to do everything by himself.

Key Matches Coming Up in EURO 2016 Qualifiers Campaign

Jun 12, 2015
EURO 2016 Qualifiers

EURO 2016 Qualifiers

The teams have reached a very important phase in the qualifying series for the Euro 2016 tournament in France. Several sides can strengthen their charming positions while some of them will have their last chance to launch a charge in order to secure a place that grants qualification. Scotland and the Republic of Ireland might decide between each other on who to challenge for advancing, while Northern Ireland and Romania could be happy with a draw in Bucharest. The same goes for Croatia and Italy, and in the meantime England prepares to face an excellent Slovenian goalkeeper in Samir Handanovic.

BBC.com: Euro 2016: Four games which could define qualifying

The European club footballing season might be over, but very important EURO 2016 qualifiers are coming up in the next few days. Scotland is going for the nation’s first major tournament appearance against the Republic of Ireland, a team that is also in the hunt for qualification places.

Northern Ireland, a side that never participated in a European Championship final tournament, are in good position in Group F, and they are going to entertain their biggest rivals, Romania in Bucharest. Wales are also striving to reach their first ever Euro tournament, and they will be in a wonderful place if they beat Belgium in the top match of Group B .

Though raising the number of teams from 16 to 24 could favour several smaller nations, keen followers of live sports results might have noticed that footballing giant Holland did everything in order to miss the event so far. They can tidy up things a bit in their away match against Latvia.

UEFA.com: What to watch out for in Friday’s EURO qualifiers

Iceland and the Czech Republic could edge one step closer to the EURO 2016 finals in Group A with a win from both sides with Tomas Rosicky preparing for his 100th cap. The Netherlands and Turkey have to start really good streaks in order to remain in contention regarding qualification in the final phase of the series.

Gareth Bale might lead Wales to a major event, which is a feature even Ryan Giggs was unable to pull off. The Dragons’ only participation in a major tournament came in the 1958 World Cup in Sweden, and though they had brilliant players in virtually every generation since, they always failed to qualify. This could change now as Wales is looking to overrun Belgium at the top of Group B.

In Group H Croatia will host Italy and according to gambling news a draw might suit to both sides as well as anyone who place a wager at online sportsbooks. Four of their last six matches against each other resulted in a tie and you can expect another draw as Croatia is sitting on the top of Group H with Squadra Azzurra following them after a two-point gap.

The Guardian: England face tall task to beat Slovenia’s goalkeeper Samir Handanovic

Jan Oblak might be one of the best young goalkeepers in the world, but as things look right now, he won’t get a chance to represent his country in serious matches in the near future, since 30-year-old Samir Handanovic of Internazionale is doing extremely well in goal.

England has to pass Handanovic (Photo: Dailymail)

England has to pass Handanovic (Photo: Dailymail)

Handanovic is tall but not too tall to get down for low shots, he is athletic and well-built but thin enough to be agile, and he is okay with his feet on the ball. According to former Italy and Inter hero Francesco Toldo, Handanovic carried his team on his shoulders with his saves, producing outstanding performances week in week out.

He is also a serial penalty killer, having saved 21 shots from the spot in his Serie A career which is only three less than the all-time record of Gianluca Pagliuca’s 24. “My number of saves is greater just because of our ages, but he’ll soon surpass me,” stated Pagliuca according to sports scores news.

Wales Football Team Has a Chance to Qualify For EURO 2016

Jun 09, 2015

Wales has quite a football team (Photo: Todosobrecamisetas)

The Wales national football team has never made it to the European Championship, and they recorded only one World Cup appearance in 1958, when they finished sixth. They were unsuccessful in the qualifiers since then, even with players like Liverpool super striker Ian Rush and Manchester United icon Ryan Giggs in the side.
They almost made it to the 1994 World Cup though, when they managed to beat Belgium, however they failed eventually. Now they have great odds to qualify for the EURO 2016, and with Gareth Bale and Aaron Ramsey in the team, they even have a chance against Belgium, who will face them in Cardiff on Friday for Wales’ upcoming Euro qualifier.

UEFA.com: Wales captain Gareth Bale closing on 50 caps

Gareth Bale is preparing for his 50th cap for Wales which would be a European Championship qualifier against Belgium in Cardiff on Friday. “I love playing for Wales and representing my country,” the Real Madrid star revealed. “For me, it’s the ultimate honour.”
Anyone could realize the seriousness of Bale’s drive watching him playing in the red shirt of the national football team. He helped the unbeaten Wales football team with four goals in five games, and now the Dragons are level on points with Belgium sitting on the first place in Group B, with a huge chance for qualifying to the UEFA EURO 2016 in France.

National team manager Chris Coleman also praised his best player, saying “His performances have been outstanding. He’s a credit. You see his reactions in the game and what it means to him.” Bale has yet to participate in a major tournament representing his country, however keen followers of sports scores know that now Wales is virtually a favourite to qualify to the Euros from Group B.

Sky Sports: Aaron Ramsey up for Wales’ European Qualifier v Belgium

Arsenal midfielder Aaron Ramsey said that the qualifier against Belgium in Cardiff will be the biggest game for Wales in a decade, gambling news report. The two teams have already met in Brussels in November for a 0-0. The Dragons now have a real chance to qualify from Group B and to represent their country in a European Championship for the first time.
A victory against Belgium would be their biggest achievement since beating Italy 2-1 in 2002, according to Ramsey. He said, “I wasn’t involved then but it’s the biggest game Wales have been involved in since then. It’s probably the biggest game we’ve played in playing for Wales with this group of players.”
Ramsey also spoke about Gareth Bale, whom he considers as one of the bests. “Our understanding is really good, he is a top quality player and it’s always nice to play with those sort of players,” Ramsey revealed.

BBC.com: Euro 2016: Wales ‘would beat’ class of 1993 – Mark Aizlewood

Followers of live sports results might remember that Wales had a very good team in 1993 that just failed to qualify to the 1994 World Cup. That outfit defeated Belgium with goals from Ryan Giggs and Ian Rush. Mark Aizlewood, a defender for Bristol City back then, was also part of the team and he thinks that the current side would beat them.
He said, “The present team would have beaten our team because they’ve got far more quality.” He went on to explain his statement, saying “Don’t get me wrong, people like Ian Rush, Dean Saunders and Ryan Giggs would have starred in today’s generation, but people like me probably wouldn’t have.”
Looking back at their game against Belgium, he said, “I was a boy from a council house in Newport finding himself on the same pitch as world superstars like Ian Rush, Mark Hughes and Ryan Giggs. My instructions from [former Wales boss] Terry Yorath were simple – When I got the ball I had to pass it to Giggs, Rush, Saunders or Hughes where the quality was.”

Barca v Juve: A Preview of the Champions League Final (Part II)

Jun 05, 2015

The best attacking line will meet one of the best defences to wrap up this year’s Champions League in a properly fitting battle. The two sides prefer to play in rather similar styles, however, Juventus head coach Massimiliano Allegri tends to completely alter his game plan for matches featuring opponents considered as stronger sides than his team. Therefore it might turn out as a classic showdown between a possession based, attacking outfit and a defending, counterattacking side.

Verstappen Doesn’t Change His Approach After Crashing Grosjean

Jun 05, 2015

grosjean-verstappen-crash-monaco-06052015

17-year-old Toro Rosso driver Max Verstappen made a mistake while chasing Romain Grosjean almost two weeks ago in Monte Carlo, ending the race of the Lotus employee, who was challenging for points. Some said that the Dutchman’s recklessness and his dangerous driving lead to the crash, while others suggested that it was a racing accident, and however it is tempting to blame the young driver’s lack of experience, this is not right. Almost every driver and expert agrees though that Verstappen should not say anything like that he said to Grosjean after the race.

Crash.net: F1 Canadian Grand Prix: Grosjean upset at lack of apology from Verstappen

Romain Grosjean expressed his disappointment over Max Verstappen “forgetting” to apologize after their crash in the last race in Monaco. The Dutchman was trying to get past the Lotus driver, who was on worn tyres, until the young Toro Rosso driver made a mistake and hit the Frenchman from behind.

The incident divided experts and followers of sports scores. Grosjean blamed the young and reckless Verstappen, while the 17-year-old Dutchman stated that the Frenchman brake-tested him. After the incident, Grosjean was out from the race, and however he was challenging for points, what really hurt him was that Verstappen did not offer an apology at all.

“It does [disappoint me] because we went to the stewards after the grand prix and I tapped him on the back, thinking he could say ‘I’m sorry’ but, instead, he said I brake-tested [him], which is completely wrong as I actually braked later than the lap before,” said Grosjean. “It is not the way I’d like things to happen.”

jamesallenonf1.com: Verstappen Won’t Change Racing Style as Massa Insists Teen Was ‘Completely Wrong’ In Monaco

Max Verstappen was criticized by Felipe Massa several times in the aftermath of the Monaco incident, when the young Dutchman hit Romain Grosjean from behind. However, the 17-year-old Toro Rosso driver stated before the Canadian Grand Prix, that he won’t alter his driving style, though being under fire from drivers, fans and followers of live sports results.

Massa expressed after the race in Monte Carlo that the dangerous Verstappen should be penalized after the accident, and he was duly handed a five-place grid penalty by the FIA, and he also got two penalty points to his Super License. He will serve the penalty in Montreal this weekend. Massa also said that the Dutchman braked too late before hitting Grosjean.

Verstappen responded to that statement in the press conference before the Canadian GP. “Everybody can have their opinion, that’s the first thing, but I looked at my data, I didn’t brake any later,” Verstappen revealed. “I had braked later in the race before that but on the lap I crashed, it was exactly the same lap as the lap before and I got my penalty.”

Autosport.com: Button warns Verstappen over Grosjean ‘braketest’ crash remarks

Jenson Button, world champion of 2009, expressed that he was astonished by Max Verstappen saying Romain Grosjean braketested him when the Toro Rosso driver hit the Frenchman in Monaco nearly a fortnight ago. Button said that Verstappen should think twice before he speaks to the media, according to gambling news.

Button revealed however that he didn’t think that the cause of the accident was Verstappen being inexperienced. The 35-year-old Mclaren driver had problems only with the Dutchman’s remarks to journalists, saying, “He’s obviously inexperienced, it’s easy to go and jump on the bandwagon with that.”

“I think, the thing is, you’ve got to be very careful with what you do say in the press,” he went on. “To point the finger at someone and say that they braketested you, that’s serious. I don’t think that happens in motorsport these days, we’re all grown-ups and we don’t do things like that in Formula 1,” added Button.

Messi to Become the Best Player Ever in Champions League Finals

Jun 04, 2015

lionel-messi-champions-league-06042015

Lionel Messi could become the first man to score in three different Champions League finals. After losing the World Cup final last year against Geramany, this is the only thing he can do to keep on challenging the greatest footballers ever. He has to break record after record to be recognized as the best ever, until his silverware collection lacks the World Cup gold medal. Now he can break some other records in a stadium, where he wasn’t able to play in 2006, as he was left on the bench by national team coach Jose Pekerman and Argentina crashed out against the hosts on penalties.

Skysports.com:Lionel Messi cannot win in the battle to prove he’s the greatest of all time

This Champions League Final will be the opportunity for several players to crown their career with a victory, like Gigi Buffon, who have yet to win the most precious title in club football. However, for the biggest star in the world, there is no such an option, he just have to win it. Again.

Lionel Messi scored an unbelievable goal in the Copa del Rey final last weekend, gambling laws reported. Most of the players around the world are able to score a goal like that only when playing video games, however, the Argentine genius have to do it again against Juventus, or to do something even more spectacular, because he is the best in the world.

Messi’s real problem is that he battles against legends now, and this race is tough to win on the field against Diego Maradona and Pele. It is virtually impossible to achieve their status without a World Cup victory, so Messi can bag as many goals as no player before, he will be still in the need of a gold medal from the Mundial to become the greatest ever.

ESPNFC.com:Lionel Messi has a score to settle with the city of Berlin

It was in the Berlin Olympic Stadium at the 2006 World Cup when Jose Pekerman decided not to deploy Lionel Messi during the quarterfinal Against Germany. The 19-year-old talent was watching from the bench, as Miroslav Klose equalized towards the end of regulation, to take the game into overtime, and to penalties eventually, that favoured the hosts.

Though he has become the best in the world since, one of the greatest ever, breaking so many goal scoring records, he still has an unfinished business with Berlin. Pekerman included the wonderkid into his squad, only to have a taste of World Cup football back in 2006, but those who follow sports scores might remember that he was so good that he was able to heavily influence games coming in as a substitute.

Argentina was one of the best teams around, and their quarterfinal against the hosts was regarded as an early final. However, after their goalkeeper, Roberto Abbondanzieri was injured in the second half, Pekerman had to use an unplanned substitution that eventually led to leaving Messi on the bench. He was heartbroken not to join the action, but now he will be on the pitch, probably from the first minute until the very last.

UEFA.com:Barcelona’s Lionel Messi speaks to UEFA.com

Lionel Messi is looking for becoming the first player to score in three Champions League finals on Saturday, having registered a goal in the 2009 and 2011 finals previously, both of them coming against Manchester United. Before the game, he shared his thoughts with followers of live sports results.

He stated that his family has been the biggest influence in his life caring about his football and his development, with the club of FC Barcelona been added to the mix after he moved over to Europe at an early age. He revealed that he enjoys a very good relationship with Neymar and Luis Suarez, which making their collaboration even more effective on the pitch.

Messi expressed that Barcelona had to go through a lot to reach the final again. Regarding the title decider, he said, “We know that we will face a very tricky opponent – they are very strong, Juventus are a big team. It is a final and anything can happen, but we will prepare and approach it as we have approached finals before.”

FIFA in Trouble After Arrests Linked to Alleged Corruption

Jun 01, 2015
FIFA is under investigation

FIFA is under investigation

U.S. and Swiss authorities run investigations about corruption cases regarding FIFA, international football’s governing body. The announcement of the investigations came after the United States and Switzerland set extradition agreements and nine present and former FIFA leaders were arrested in Zurich on Wednesday. Many pundits and fans envision that these are the last days of FIFA president Sepp Blatter, who is looking for his fifth term on the top of international football. There are also calls for radical changes within the FIFA to continue to work as a trustworthy organization.

The Guardian:Fifa in crisis: Blatter faces calls to resign, as sponsors express ‘disappointment’

After the arrests of FIFA leaders in Zurich, Switzerland, Visa, the organization’s sponsor intends to review its deals with the International Football Federation. Greg Dyke, the chairman of the English FA and Argentinian football legend Diego Maradona are amongst, who once again call for the resignation of FIFA president Sepp Blatter.

On Wednesday, US prosecutors accused FIFA officials and sports media executives of bribes engaging more than USD 150 million in 24 years. Blatter is looking for his fifth term as the president of FIFA before the elections this week, however many who follow sports scores doubt that the organization can continue to operate in this form.

Dyke expressed that this is definitely the time for the 79-year-old sports leader to say goodbye. He revealed, “Blatter has put out a statement saying now is the time to start rebuilding the trust in FIFA – there is no way of re-building trust in FIFA while Sepp Blatter is still there.”

The New York Times:After Indicting 14, U.S. Vows to End Graft in FIFA

United States federal prosecutors stated that at least one vote was clearly bought in 2004 when soccer’s governing body decided about the hosts of the 2010 World Cup. Jack Warner from Trinidad and Tobago, who was amongst the voters back then, allegedly sold his ballot to the country with the best offer, gambling news report.

His vote went eventually to South Africa, in exchange for a payment of USD 10 million to an organization administered by Warner, according to American officials, who also claim that he used most of the money personally. The prosecutors stated that this was a routine move at FIFA since decades, using terms for the leaders of international soccer usually kept for Mafia families and drug cartels.

The Justice Department and prosecutors for the Eastern District of New York expressed that their investigation basically just started, and their aim is to clean international soccer from the systematic corruption that characterized it for decades.

ESPNFC.com:FIFA crisis, Sepp Blatter’s future — what you need to know

US prosecutors claim to have identified at least twelve different corruption patterns while investigating the International Football Federation. They have also indicted 14 FIFA present and past officials and sport marketing executives. Swiss officials announced that they are investigating now the decision procedures about hosting the 2018 and 2022 FIFA World Cups.

The U.S. Department of Justice set extradition agreements with the Swiss authorities, who arrested the FIFA leaders gathered to the Congress held in Zurich. The Swiss Attorney General, probably synchronizing his steps with the DOJ, revealed their ongoing but entirely separate investigation on Wednesday afternoon, once the arrests were carried out.

The U.S. got involved after possible wrongdoings were found regarding CONCACAF, the North and Central American Football Federation based in Miami. Online mobile news also report that people and companies involved in the corruption transferred the bribe money through the United States or through companies incorporated in the United States.

A Review of Game Four of the NBA Western Conference Finals

May 29, 2015

nba-western-conference-finals-05292015

The Houston Rockets will be forced to make history. They will attempt to be the first NBA team in history to come back from a three-game deficit to win a conference final. They have been in four elimination games in the playoff. The Rockets lost to the Warriors in seven out of seven games this year. But making gambling news, the Rockets have already done it once already to get to this game. Although the Warriors have played well, Houston hasn’t been able to capitalize off of the few mistakes that Golden State has made. After such a humiliating defeat, the Rockets would have to repeat what they’ve already done. A 128-115 Houston victory was a good start.

nba.com Harden will have to deliver again to keep Rockets alive

Well this game started to look like a possible repeat of game three. All that energy Houston had almost went against them as they missed on the first two drives up court. After 9-0, Coach Steve Kerr called a time out to talk and break the Rocket momentum. The Rockets ended up looking very hot while the Warriors were 1-8 from the field. The whole Houston team came to play and made it rain before Harden made a single point.

In the first 27 Rocket points, Harden had yet to contribute. A couple of free throws finally put Harden into it. Josh Smith also had an excellent contribution to the offense. The Golden State defense, distracted by Harden, allowed the rest of the Rockets to dominate. After the first quarter, five Rocket players had made at least one three-pointer. That sports stat alone could’ve earned someone a gambling bonus.

The first quarter, 75% shooting and at 45-22, was the highest scoring quarter by Houston all season. Coach Steve Kerr replied to the question concerning his team by saying “they’ve scored 45 points in 12 minutes. We have many problems.” Dwight Howard got the ball in good faith and he was able to contribute while having a sound inside presence defensively.

bleacherreport.comRockets vs. Warriors: Analysis, Predictions for Western Conference Finals Game 5

Jason Terry and Curry were still impressive as the Warriors stayed in the game. Klay Thompson, for Golden State finally showed a pulse in the second quarter. At 5.52 in the second quarter Curry, in mid air going for a block, fell over Trevor Ariza and landed on his head creating shock and awe among the crowd. After seven minutes on standby, Curry got up to cheers by the Houston Crowd.

As Kerr tries to keep it together for his team in Curry’s absence, the Warriors went on a run cutting the 25-point lead to 13. The 8-0 run by Golden State was without Curry’s presence. Harden was a bit docile at that moment with the Rocket team shooting at 65%.
The Warriors were within 12 of the Rockets until Trevor Ariza got the foul and finished a four-point play. Leandro Barbosa responded with 3-pointers that kept Golden State alive.

Thompson’s 16 points put a serious dent into the Rockets lead. In the second half, Josh Smith continued his run of 7-7 shots. The Warrior’s Draymond Green who was consistently putting up points was perhaps the strongest factor during Curry’s absence. Harden’s 16 points in the third quarter made a statement that nothing, including Curry’s return to the floor, was going to stop Houston.

houstonpress.com NBA Western Conference Finals, Game 4: Rockets 128, Warriors 115-4 Winners, 4 Losers

The Warriors were able to cut the lead to a solid 10 points while Harden was on the bench. Klay Thompson drove in a three-pointer and got Golden State within 7. Harden was slowly heating up while Curry showed more steam. A Rockets 7-0 run forced Coach Kerr to call another time out for the Warriors. Josh Smith had a solid performance.

Both teams had a combined 34 three-point shots which set a new record in playoff history. Those who waged for the Rockets deserved their money earned within the confines of gambling laws. James Harden, who ended with a 45-point game, spoke of his team’s performance “We had to do a better job at being consistent. And tonight it showed.”

A Review of Games Two, Three and Four of the NBA Eastern Conference Finals

May 29, 2015
NBA Playoffs Eastern Conference Finals

NBA Playoffs Eastern Conference Finals

It’s always easier to look at things in retrospect. Perhaps figuring out what happened and what will happen was and is more a factor of logic and not special insight. After the first two losses the Atlanta Hawks one must wonder how can a team with a 60-game winning season collapse under a team that’s largely road weary and incomplete?

The Cavaliers were missing Kevin Love and Kyrie Irving, two key players. The Hawks had a 19-game winning streak earlier this year leaving many punters loyal betters according to gambling laws. Lebron James may be the finest player of his generation, but Iman Shumpert, J.R Smith and Timofey Mozgov gave James something to work with.

sbnation.com Cavaliers vs. Hawks 2015 results: 3 things we learned from Cleveland’s shorthanded win

In game two, James got aggressive early, attacked and put up five shots quickly. Unfortunately for the Hawks, James never let up. Poor DeMarre Carroll, of the Hawks, had the unpleasant job of defending James while having a knee injury. Game two clearly showed that the Cavaliers weren’t going to allow a simple one-game split. Despite any of the injuries of his team, James put up 30 points, 9 rebounds and 11 assists.

The second quarter caused no alarm to anyone as the abuse of Atlanta continued. James simply doled out the passes which led to 3-pointers by Shumpert, Smith and Jones. Tristan Thompson dominated the boards with 16 rebounds while dismantling Atlanta’s Paul Millsap. Whatever strategy the Hawks had proved moot against Cleveland’s fervor. Kyle Korver was able to produce for Atlanta while Jeff Teague was held to the outside.

Mozgov proved to be influential on defense along with Shumpert. As the Hawks shortened rotations, the injuries had their affect in the second half. Korver had to leave the game with ankle trouble. Carrol and Horford were not up for the part they had to play. The 94-82 win by Cleveland was accomplished by collapsing Atlanta’s defense. Atlanta was also the victims of a horrendous second half.

foxsports.comCleveland Cavaliers beat Atlanta Hawks in OT to take 3-0 series lead

One should not look at Cleveland’s 114-111 victory over Atlanta as simply more of the same. There were definitely different factors affecting the outcome of the game. The foremost factor being that this match, going into overtime, clearly showed that the Hawks didn’t want to lose. The second factor lies in a Cavaliers player called Matthew Dellavedova, an Australian who replaced Kyrie Irving, the All-star. A move which may have surprised a few punters out there waging by use of sports score news.

Dellavedova, in the 45 minutes he played, was able to score 17 much needed points for Cleveland. In the third quarter Dellavedova was involved in a collision with Atlanta’s Al Horford which left him ejected from the game on a flagrant 2 foul. Dellavedova tripped over DeMarre Carrol of the hawks and then fell back into Horford. The center got out of the rubble, then dropped his elbow and body on Dellavordova’s back and head.

James was still a bit cold in shooting. That changed as James started to put up points and ended with 37 points 18 rebounds and 13 assists as the game was tied at the end of the fourth quarter. Jeff Teague and Paul Millsap gave great performances for the Hawks, but Cleveland came a bit harder with J.R Smith scoring 17 points. At the end of the overtime, James collapsed to the floor in exhaustion.

usatoday.com Cavaliers sweep Hawks as LeBron James reaches fifth consecutive NBA Finals

Too much was stacked up against Atlanta for them to survive this series. Yes it must be considered that no team in NBA history has ever climbed out of 3-0 deficit. Yes three teams have come back to reach a seventh game. But do you really see Atlanta being in that company? The 118-88 slaughter is to be expected. Making gambling news, James is the first player to enter five consecutive finals with 2 different teams.

Cleveland simply swept over Atlanta like a tsunami from the beginning. By the time the Cavaliers were up in the first quarter 24-14, the Atlanta became Atlantis with the Hawk’s players submerged bodies floating in the wake. Unfortunately, James’ contributions of 23 points, 9 rebounds and 9.3 assists were modest and all that was necessary. Irving, with tendinitis in his left knee scored 16 points.

Mozgov, Thompson and Smith had 14,16 and 18-point contributions to the Cavalier’s grandeur on the court. The first half had Atlanta down by 20 points. Cleveland shot at 51% in the first half and it marked the end of the game for most. Although Teague scored 17 points and Millsap 16 respectively, the Atlanta team couldn’t do anymore. The Atlanta team, who was once the second best 3-point shooting team in the NBA, was diminished to 23.4% for 3-pointers in the entire series.

A review of Game Five of the NBA Western Conference Finals

May 29, 2015
NBA Playoffs Western Conference Finals

NBA Playoffs Western Conference Finals

The Warriors will return to the NBA finals for the first time in 40 years.

It isn’t gambling news that betting on James Harden can at times be a gamble. It’s hard to imagine that coming of a 45-point game, Harden would have the worst performance of the whole year. It’s one thing to make only 2 shots in 45 minutes, but to allow Klay Thompson to score 20 points is another matter. Even though Harden and his beard may count as two people, one man doesn’t lose or win a game. Stephen Curry, coming off a head injury, had 26 points and eight rebounds and help form Harrison Barnes as well. The Golden State Warriors will go to the NBA finals for the first time in 40 years to take on Lebron James and the Cleveland Cavaliers.

usatoday.comWarriors finish off Rockets, advance to NBA Finals

Similar to their game 3 victory, Golden State took advantage of the poor Rockets shooting. Harden wasn’t the only poor shooter for Houston as the team shot collectively 35%. Despite the numbers, the Rockets had a decent chance to win this game. The Warriors got off to a slow first quarter start and the Rockets weren’t shooting well enough to take advantage of it.

Dwight Howard contributed early and attacked everything in the paint on both sides while putting up eight points and two blocks. Curry was the first Warrior to shoot a three pointer almost at the end of the quarter. Still Houston was up by five at the end of the quarter. With those sports scores, any punters at this point might have been hopeful if they wagered on Houston

The second quarter however was a different story when the Warriors started to warm up.
The Warriors were forced to miss 21 out of 27 shots including seven out of eight three pointers. The Rockets still could’ve made the lead further as the Warriors had seven turnovers. Since Harden had five turnovers alone, he helped the Warriors stay in the game and get ahead by the end of the first half.

sbnation.com Rockets vs. Warriors 2015 final score: 3 things we learned as Golden State advanced to the NBA Finals

Unfortunately Howard couldn’t manage to get into a groove with his post ups. Klay Thompson was able to finally heat up an sank in three 3-pointers which became the catalyst of Golden State’s 13-2 run. At that point the game looked as though it had hope as both teams elevated their play. Josh Smith was able two ace a pair of 3-pointers while Howard made a statement with a two-handed slam.

Golden State was able to hold on to the eight point lead they built up at the half. Thompson, who put in the first five points for the Warriors in the third quarter, picked up his fourth foul. Coach Kerr couldn’t change for a sub so Thompson stayed in the game until he picked up a fifth foul two possessions later. Thompson and his hot hand would have to sit down for the remainder of the game.

Meanwhile the Rockets got scoring opportunities from going to the free throw line. Unfortunately it was Smith who couldn’t take advantage on his attempts. The Warriors were making their own array of turnovers. Even Stephen Curry was missing otherwise open shots. It seemed as though this game became more of a contest to see who could get out of their funk first. That would be Golden State.

news.yahoo.com
Warriors eliminate Rockets, end 40-year NBA Finals drought

Getting tighter on defense was probably the best thing Golden State could do because it caused the Rockets to turn over the ball giving opportunities to players such as Curry who exploded and gave more assurance to those waging within gambling laws. Jason Terry’s ten points kept the Rockets in the game at the end of the third quarter. Houston was able to reduce their nine-point deficit down to six.

An injury to Thompson’s ear, via a knee to the head, put Thompson out of the game. With any good team, including Golden State, when one player is down another one can come in to take their place. Barnes was able to score nine consecutive points extending the Warriors lead to 15 points. Although Brewer led a surge of his own, the Rockets couldn’t disrupt the Warriors game.

Curry and Company will do what hasn’t been done since legendary Rick Barry and his bunch did it 40 years ago. With James’ unprecedented five consecutive trips to the Fianls with two different teams, history will be made regardless. Harden, with 13 turnovers said “tried to do a little bit too much and turned the ball over and gave them easy baskets in transition. This isn’t where we wanted to end at. Next year we want to be better and we will.”

Henry: Sterling to Destroy His Life and Career

May 22, 2015
Raheem Sterling

Older and wiser give their advice to Sterling

As the end of the footballing season in Europe is edging closer, more and more rumours are emerging from the press about clubs looking for players, players looking for clubs, possible deals and refused contract offers. Some footballers use the media in a way that upsets basically indifferent people, some of them are just disappointed with their situations and quietly counting their days until finally getting off from their current employers. Raheem Sterling’s future is the hottest topic around, but it is also interesting where the likes of Alex Song, Sami Khedira, Pedro and Radamel Falcao will end up before the start of the next season.

The Telegraph: Thierry Henry: Raheem Sterling risks destroying his life and career

Former Arsenal and Barcelona star Thierry Henry advised Raheem Sterling to stop his agent giving him bad advice that will lead to ruining his life and footballing career eventually. The football pundit is totally unhappy with the way Sterling’s camp handling the situation.
Sterling refused to sign the contract renewal he was offered by Liverpool previously, which was a 100,000 GBP per week bid, gambling news reported. A TV interview was set up for him, where he claimed it wasn’t about the money that he opted not to sign the paper.
Henry disagrees totally with that attitude. He said, “You can’t go out there and talk about your contract in the press. You have to respect your fans, respect the club that you play for. If you want to leave Liverpool or not, when you make the decision about leaving or staying, then do it. Don’t discuss yourself in the paper.”
Henry also added that when he was a young player, he had a similar problem with many of those surrounding him giving advices, influencing his footballing display in a bad way. He expressed, that, “you need to be able to say, ‘Enough, you’re destroying my life, you’re destroying my career.”

The Guardian: Football transfer rumours: Alex Song to Manchester City?

Alex Song, the Barcelona defensive midfielder loaned to West Ham is wanted by Chelsea and Manchester City. As he played for Arsenal for three seasons before his 21st birthday, he counts as a homegrown player in England, not to mention that he is a very good footballer indeed.
Barcelona stated before that they want to keep their unsettled forward, Pedro, however online mobile news reported that they will let him go in exchange for 7 million GBP. He only has one year left from his contract, and Chelsea, Arsenal and Tottenham all could use him, and Liverpool was interested in signing him too.
Atletico Madrid could get back their former superstar striker Radamel Falcao. The Colombian player returns from loan to Monaco soon, after he did virtually nothing at Old Trafford this year. The Principality’s club allegedly plans to offer him plus cash worth of 25 million GBP in exchange for Mario Mandzikuc.

Worldsoccertalk.com: Juventus nearing agreement for Real Madrid midfielder Sami Khedira, says report

Juventus is about to recruit unhappy midfielder Sami Khedira from Real Madrid, latest gambling news report. The world champion German hardly got any playing time this season, and he has been looking for a place to go in a while. It was understood in November that the club chose not to renew his contract as the midfielder did not accept an offer earlier.
Khedira is allegedly lost his role in the dressing room recently, though he was a firm starter under Jose Mourinho. However, the German had several injuries, while Real Madrid strengthened their midfield unit significantly by acquiring the likes of Toni Kroos and James Rodriguez.
Khedira expressed in March, that he would leave Madrid at the end of the season, and he allegedly decided to join Juventus. The Italians have to look for an industrious midfielder with Andrea Pirlo leaving this summer and the future of Paul Pogba hanging in the balance.

Still Hard to Take the Famous Corner of Monaco GP

May 21, 2015
Monaco Formula 1 track

Tricky track of Monaco

Before Formula One arrived in Monaco, where the most famous race of the series is held, some adjustments were made regarding the track. With moving the barriers in the turn at the Swimming Pool complex, the track might be safer, nevertheless it is still tough to manage according to former driver Vitantonio Liuzzi.

He also talked about the importance of not touching the walls and the barriers in this depressingly tight venue. If we have a look at the most spectacular overtaking moves of the last decades, we will see that if you would like to see the chequered flag, it could be helpful to avoid touching the moving features of the motorsport competition too.

Motorsport.com: Monaco’s new Swimming Pool apex “still a challenge”

The exit at the Swimming Pool complex at Monaco street circuit was refurbished for this year with the barriers moved inwards and a kerb installed instead, gambling news report. Theoretically, with the barrier removed from the apex, it is easier to take the corner now than it was before, however former Formula One drivers expressed that it is still tough to get it right.

Vitantonio Liuzzi recently drove in Monaco in the Formula E series. He said, “Yes it is definitely still a challenge there, even though it is a slightly different line and trajectory”. When discussing the corner, Liuzzi, who spent six seasons in the Formula One between 2005 and 2011, also explained the significance of avoiding the walls in Monaco these days.

He expressed, “I still think it is the toughest part of the circuit and you can gain quite a bit still and honestly touching the walls a lot at Monaco is a myth. You might do it a few times and get away with it but generally it is not worth the risk.” Apart from the changes at turns 15 and 16, several parts of the track have been resurfaced, and some adjustments have been made at Tabac.

Crash.net: Six of the Best: Overtakes at Monaco

The Monaco GP is recognized as the most precious one in the calendar because of the status and the glamour style of the Principality. However, the race itself can be quite boring many times, as it is virtually impossible to overtake in the streets of Monaco. For the bravest, is still possible though, but to perform a move like that, one have to be patient, expedient and skillful as well.
Like Michael Schumacher in 1998, who wrestled with Alexander Wurz from the Loews hairpin to the tunnel, however, as the Austrian was equally aggressive to his counterpart, the two touched several times. Though the German won the battle, he lost the war eventually as both of their cars damaged heavily, ruining their races respectively.

Nico Hulkenberg was luckier last year, exploiting a slight error made by Kevin Magnussen to get past him in the same section of the track, without banging his Force India dangerously against the McLaren. Kimi Raikkonen made a cleaner maneuver against Mark Webber in 2006, but it was delicate as the Finn overtook the Australian unexpectedly while climbing up the hill.
In 2013 Sergio Perez provided the show overtaking Jenson Button and forcing Fernando Alonso out of the track at the chicane a few laps later, after the Spaniard had to give the position back to the Mexican. Perez’s race ended soon however, when he hit Raikkonen at the same corner.

Equally remarkable was Nigel Mansell’s pass on Alain Prost in the tunnel in 1991 when battling for the second place. Those, who follow sports scores, might remember Schumacher infamously overtaking Fernando Alonso in 2010 after the safety car went in at the end of the last lap. However as that move went against the rules, Schuey was handed a time penalty after the race.
