We have a Djokovic v Federer Semi at Australian Open!

Jan 26, 2016 - by Dani
Djokovic v Federer semi at Australian Open

How many sets these two will play? Five anyone?

Nole has eliminated Kei Nishikori in three sets, setting up a Djokovic v Federer semi at Australian Open.

Novak Djokovic was far from his best, but managed to advance from his duel against 2014 US Open finalist Nishikori. He beat the Japanese player 6-3, 6-2, 6-4, sports scores news report, despite struggling with his serve.

Roger Federer also won his quarterfinal against Tomas Berdych (7-6, 6-2-, 6-4), displaying a classy performance against the Czech players. So the two tennis superstars will meet again in the semi-final, that could be easily the highlight of the Australian Open.

Federer seems to be in top form once again, however, as tennis fans and experts of gambling facts know, he is always an underdog against his Kryptonite, world No. 1 Novak Djokovic. He is now 2.90 (19/10) to win the Djokovic v Federer semi at Australian Open according to excellent tennis betting site Bwin Sports.

The internet betting destination has the best odds for Djokovic to win the encounter amongst concurrent online sportsbooks. The Djoker is available at Bwin Sports for Australian Open betting odds of 1.40 (2/5).

Carolina Panthers to win Super Bowl 50?

Jan 25, 2016 - by Dani
Panthers to win Super Bowl 50 with smiley Newton

Cam Newton always smiles, even if he is on the ground (Photo: Flickr.com)

The Charlotte franchise is on its way to the first ever Super Bowl victory in club history as the Panthers to win Super Bowl 50 seems to be the default scenario after the NFL Conference Finals.

Cam Newton can be the first quarterback to win the Heisman Trophy, National Championship, NFL MVP and the Super Bowl, according to sports scores news. So many great quarterbacks have played the game over the years, but none of them were able to assemble this kind of collection. Not even Peyton Manning, arguably the greatest quarterback, whom Newton will face in the final in Santa Clara next Sunday.

NFL.com: There’s no stopping the No. 1s

That is the third season in a row that No. 1 seeds from both conferences made it into the final. Manning experienced this setup both in the playoffs of the 2009 and the 2013 NFL seasons, when he reached the playoff with the Indianapolis Colts and the Denver Broncos. However, his teams were defeated by the New Orleans Saints and the Seattle Seahawks respectively.

After watching Sunday’s conference finals, the Panthers to win Super Bowl 50 is the obvious bet for most fans and experts of gambling facts. And that would be the first championship in the history of the franchise based in Charlotte, North Carolina. The Panthers were established as an expansion team in 1995, the 29th franchise of the NFL. They have played only one world championship final so far, Super Bowl XXXVIII after the 2003 NFL season. Back then they faced the New England Patriots but lost 32–29 in Houston. Yes, that was the ‘Nipplegate’ Bowl, when Justin Timberlake was somehow able to rip Janet Jackson’s dress apart during the halftime show…

Well, it’s a positive for Carolina that they were able to avoid Justin Timberlake the New England Patriots and that also could boost the odds for the Panthers to win Super Bowl 50. Alright, maybe Ron Rivera would have favored to face the one-dimensional offense of the Patriots in the final, but it’s not bad for opponents to know that the Tom Brady-Bill Belichick duo is out of the competition.

This leaves them with Peyton Manning and Gary Kubiak. And more importantly, the defense that is led by Von Miller and DeMarcus Ware on the field and Wade Phillips on the sidelines. This unit could be able to handle Cam Newton and the Carolina offense, which suggests that a very exciting Super Bowl is ahead of us.

However, Carolina also have an elite defense, and that might cause some problems for Peyton Manning. He also struggled against the Patriots in the second half, putting only three points on the board after half time. If he won’t raise his game significantly, he won’t be able to avoid the Panthers to win Super Bowl 50. This would leave him with a 1–3 record in Super Bowl finals with only one bullet left. Or no more bullet at all?

Well this might be the very last time we could see Peyton Manning, probably the best quarterback ever, playing professional football. Even if he will not avert the Panthers to win Super Bowl 50, that will be a special final. Not just because it will be a great anniversary. But because this might be the Sherriff’s last duel.

Would he end up still standing after the smoke has gone? This is to be found out. According to keen followers of gambling news, the Panthers to win Super Bowl 50 is the line to bet on. But in this game, and in this very very special final, everything can happen…

The Week in Pictures: January 12 – January 18, 2016

Jan 19, 2016 - by Roxana B.

Weekly news in pictures

There was one big story after another breaking last week so lets take a moment to quickly review some of the most important.

The long-standing economic sanctions imposed on Iran by the US and EU were dropped last week as the deal arranged between the two sides to prevent Iranian development of nuclear weapons came into effect. The far-reaching agreement was welcomed by both sides with President Rouhani calling it a “turning point” for his country and also included a prisoner exchange that saw several sanction busting Iranians freed alongside a number of Americans including Washington Post reporter Jason Rezaian.

Both Indonesia and Burkina Faso were the victims of terrorist attacks last week. Suspected Islamic State gunmen attacked a busy Starbucks in a commercial district of Jakarta killing at least eight, whilst in Ouagadougou a luxury hotel popular with foreign tourists was targeted along with several other businesses in an incident that was eventually ended by the intervention of French Special Forces. Al-Quaeda In The Islamic Maghreb claimed responsibility for the attack that killed 28 and injured 56.

Last week saw the tragic deaths of both Alan Rickman and David Bowie rock the entertainment world with both dying at the age of 69 and both from Cancer. Rickman stared in such movies as “Robin Hood Prince Of Thieves” and “Galaxy Quest” as well as playing Severus Snape in the Harry Potter movies, whilst David Bowie had an influential career in music spanning several decades and was famed for hit songs including “Space Odyssey” and “Let’s Dance” as well as his 1970’s alter-ego Ziggy Stardust.

In sport Leicester City returned to the top of the Premier League after an uncharacteristic draw with Premier League whipping boys Aston Villa. Ozazaki opened the scoring for City just before the half hour only to be answered mid way through the second half by a deflected shot from Rudy Gestede. But just how long will Leicester hold on to the top spot? You’ll have to read our daily news pages to find out, however in the meantime let’s look back at the major news stories that we covered last week.
1. Nick Foligno and Mikael Granlund made history in the Minnesota Wild v Columbus Blue Jackets NHL regular season game.

Meanwhile in efforts to return a stolen gold necklace to its rightful owner police were obliged for force feed a man suspected of stealing and swallowing it up to forty bananas. The large quantity of fruit was employed after an enema had failed to yield positive results despite an X-ray showing the man in possession of the jewelery. Surgery was rejected for being too expensive so over the course of a day the man was given fruit till the necklace returned. The man was charged and appeared in court for theft.

BBC and MSN All Scored Great Gambling Results for Punter

Jan 18, 2016 - by Dani

In the Spanish La Liga, BBC and MSN all scored last weekend. It was the first time ever that all players from the Real Madrid and Barcelona forward-lines have found the net.

BBC and MSN all scored 89 goals so far in the league season. Real Madrid’s BBC has a tally of 45, while Barca’s forwards racked up 44 goals. However, that was the first time that these six players have scored on the same league matchday. And this was massive for one online betting player.

101greatgoals.com: BBC and MSN all scored on same La Liga matchday

Real Madrid have defeated Sporting Gijon 5–1 in the second league game under manager Zinedine Zidane, latest gambling news report. Gareth Bale opened scoring in the 7th minute, while Cristiano Ronaldo and Karim Benzema both have scored braces.

Bleacherriport: Punter Wins Bet as MSN and BBC All Scored on the Same Day for the 1st Time

Barcelona were also one-goal – and one man – ahead in the 7th minute through Lionel Messi’s penalty. This was supported by a goal from Neymar, a hat-trick from Luis Suarez and one more from Ivan Rakitic, making it 6–0.

This also meant that BBC and MSN all scored (Bale, Benzema, Crisitiano and Messi, Suarez, Neymar), for the first time ever in the Spanish La Liga. Experts of gambling facts might know that it almost happened in the 13th round of the 2015/16 La Liga season that BBC and MSN all scored. However, Karim Benzema wasn’t able to find the net back then.

This gambling result meant that a lucky online betting player, who had a bet slip with BBC to score odds of 4.50 (7/2) and MSN to score odds of 6.50 (11/2). Since BBC and MSN all scored, he had an excellent GBP 146.25 return on a GBP 5 bet. It seems that these exceptional football players not only provide entertainment, but it’s also beneficial to put some money on them from time to time.

Rams Relocate to L.A. for the Second Time

Jan 13, 2016 - by Dani
Rams relocate to L.A. was announced

The Rams are back to Los Angeles! (Photo by Sportslogos.net)

After the NFL owners’ meeting in Houston, the league let the Rams relocate to L.A. for the 2016 NFL season.

Professional football fans in Los Angeles were waiting for sports scores news to report the Rams relocate to L.A. for 22 years. It was after the 1994 season that the franchise had moved to St. Louis. They arrived to win a Super Bowl in 1999, than to fall back to mediocrity.

Their aging stadium left two choices for them. To seek for possibilities to build a new stadium, or to get away. The city of St. Louis was eager to avoid the Rams relocate to L.A. They offered to build a $1.1 billion riverside stadium, next to the Mississippi. However, Stan Kroenke, who became full owner of the franchise in 2010, was known to be committed to the Rams relocate to L.A. for long.

NFL.com: Rams relocate to L.A.; Chargers first option to join

The San Diego Chargers and the Oakland Raiders also submitted relocation applications to the league last year. There was plan ‘A’, ‘B’ and ‘C’ with different stadium scenarios. Plan ‘C’ has convinced the NFL owners eventually, gambling news report. According to that, the Rams relocate to L.A. immediately for the 2016 season. They will play in their own stadium in Inglewood by 2019. The San Diego Chargers have the opportunity to join them and share the facility from 2019. If they turn down the offer, the Oakland Raiders can opt to become the next Los Angeles NFL franchise.

Rams relocate to L.A., will play in Inglewood from 2019

The plan for the new football stadium in Inglewood (Photo by LA Weekly)

However, it seems that the Raiders are now committed to stay in Oakland and build a new stadium there. Currently they share the O.co Coliseum with the Oakland Athletics baseball franchise. However, the city has a plan for the new stadium and the NFL is also willing to contribute $100 million to the project. This also goes for the Chargers, if they decide to remain in San Diego and build a new stadium there. Chargers owner Dean Spanos couldn’t say whether he intended to take the opportunity to move the franchise to Inglewood or not. He said, “I will be working over the next several weeks to explore these options that we have now created for ourselves to determine the best path forward for the Chargers.”

ESPN: Rams’ relocating to L.A. leaves St. Louis a two-time NFL loser

Stan Kroenke will have to pay a $550 million relocation fee to the league before the Rams relocate to L.A. He is expected to pay the amount in one sum. With the Rams relocate to L.A., the city of St. Louis loses an NFL franchise for the second time in league history. The Cardinals left St. Louis in 1988 for Phoenix, Arizona, as many experts of gambling facts know.

The last NFL relocation happened in 1997. Then the Houston Oilers left Texas for Nashville, Tennessee. It was expected that Los Angeles would get an NFL franchise, when the decision was made about an expansion team in 1999. However, the city of Los Angeles were unable to agree on the stadium with the league. Therefore the expansion team went to Houston and the Texans joined the NFL as the 32nd team in 2002.

2015 NFL Wild Card Round: Unforgettable Moments

Jan 11, 2016 - by Dani
Craziest moments of the 2015 NFL Wild Card Round

The 2015 NFL Wild Card Round brought some unforgettable moments for sports fans all around the world.

The 2015 NFL Wild Card Round started with Kansas City’s road victory over ACF South champions Houston Texans. The outcome did not surprise experts of gambling facts, but the 30–0 result was harsh. The Chiefs won a playoff game after 22 years. We have also seen a defensive end lining up in the quarterback position, ca. the first time ever in league history.

The trick play didn’t work out for J.J. Watt (and Vince Vilfork on his right hand), but it was cool at least. This was the first in a row of four road wins, a feature that never happened in NFL playoffs history before.

NFL.com: Four road wins in the 2015 NFL Wild Card Round

On Saturday night we experienced an extremely tight, tense and very long rivalry game between the Cincinnati Bengals and the Pittsburgh Steelers. That was the craziest of the 2015 NFL Wild Card Round. The hosts have almost won it, thanks to Ben Roethlisberger’s injury, but they were able to blow the game away in the end. Unnecessary penalties were called on Vontaze Burfict and Adam ‘Used to be Pacman’ Jones in the last minute, bringing the Steelers 30 yard closer to the Cincinnati end zone and costing their team the victory. Jones went crazy after the game, insulting the referees on his Instagram account.

It was easy for Chris Boswell to kick the game winning field goal from that position and to set up a Pittsburgh at Denver matchup for the Divisional Round. The highlight of the game and maybe the whole 2015 NFL Wild Card Round was Martavis ‘Alien’ Bryant’s crazy catch. The play that dominated sports scores news all over the world was one of the most spectacular wide receiver moves in the history of the NFL.

There were also some controversial calls from the officials, but had Burfict and Jones acting more like adults, Cincinnati would be preparing for a Divisional game against the Patriots at the moment. Instead, they are already into offseason. The last time when Cincinnati have won a playoff game was 25 years ago.

On Sunday, the Seattle Seahawks played another extremely close game vs the Minnesota Vikings. With -6 °F (-21 °C) at kick off, this was officially the third coldest game in league history. The hosts missed Marshawn Lynch, who wasn’t able to come back after his injury and it looked like the hosts can handle the rolling Seattle Seahawks. However, a miracle play from Russell Wilson changed everything.

The hosts would have been still able to win the game, but their kicker, Blair Walshed missed the would-be game winning field goal from close range. Though the hold was bad, he took full responsibility for the mistake.

Sunday’s action was wrapped up by the Green Bay Packer’s victory at the Washington Redskins. That was nothing special, just Aaron Rodgers and his offense playing the way they used to do. The defense did also well against Kirk Cousins, who wasn’t able to deliver his usual home performance. Gambling news also reported that Redskins outcast Robert Griffin III has cleared his locker room after the game.

Kansas City at New England and Green Bay at Arizona will be played on Saturday, while Sunday’s action will feature Seattle at Carolina and Pittsburgh at Denver.

Dramatic game in Helsinki. Kasperi Kapanen – a new hockey star

Jan 06, 2016 - by Roxana B.

Great news from junior hockey –  2016 World Junior Ice Hockey Championships (U20) gathered the future of the best hockey nations in the world in a spectacular event. The most spectacular game, though, was the final, when Finland met Russia.

The final of the 2016 World Junior Ice Hockey Championships took place last night in the Hartwall Arena in Helsinki.
The home team faced up against the Russians in front of 13,479 fired up fans. The Russians took the lead twice during the game but the Fins tied it up each time.

In the third period it was the Fins turn to take the lead to 3-2 and it looked like they will be cruising to a well deserved victory when with only six seconds left on the clock Russia scored tying the game up at three.

At 1:33 in the overtime Kasperi Kapanen the son of Finnish hockey legend Sami Kapanen eluded his defenseman scoring on a wrap-around and winning the gold for the Fins. This gold is the second in the last three years for the Finnish juniors and the analysts are calling it the greatest era in the Finnish under 20 history who won gold only four times so far.

There was an immense celebration after the final whistle. The players’ gold medals were handed out by the president of the country. Finland showed that is a true hockey country by setting a new record for ticket sales for Europe, which was over 200,000 tickets. This though, does not even come close to North America (last time in Alberta the number of fans that came out for the games exceeded 600,000).
In December the Canadians can go for a new audience record for the junior games because on the 26th of December they will kick off the 2017 games in Toronto and Montreal.

Two Goals in Two Seconds – NHL Record!

Jan 06, 2016 - by Dani
Two goals in two seconds were scored in the NHL

Granlund finds the empty net (Photo: Youtube)

Nick Foligno and Mikael Granlund scored two goals in two seconds in the Minnesota Wild v Columbus Blue Jackets game, tying an NHL record.

The Columbus Blue Jackets entertained the Minnesota Wild on Tuesday in the NHL. It was just another inter-conference battle first. However, the two goals in two seconds NHL record dominated sports scores news all over the world.

NHL.com: Foligno and Granlund tied an 18-year-old record

The hosts made it 3–2 through Foligno’s goal with 16 seconds to go. They lined up with an empty net for the restart. However, Finnish forward Granlund was able to find the empty net right from the face-off, winning the game for Minnesota. This two goals in two seconds achievement is an NHL record for the fastest two goals.

Experts of gambling facts might know that the only time before the same happened came in 1987. Then two goals in two seconds were scored by Boston’s Ken Linseman and St. Louis legend Doug Gilmour. That two goals in two seconds came in a 7–5 thriller.

The Minnesota Wild are in a race for the playoff spots in the Western Conference, meanwhile the Columbus Blue Jackets are dead last in the East. We are halfway into the season, so this is a perfect time to place some NHL futures bets at Intertops Sportsbook, which is a legal online betting site accepting US players.

This Week in Pictures: December 29, 2015 – January 04, 2016

Jan 05, 2016 - by Roxana B.

Weekly news in pictures

There were no end of big news stories last week so lets take a moment to look back over some of the most important from the last seven days.

Billions of people around the world celebrated the New Year last week as a turmoil laden 2015 came to an end and events were held to mark the start of 2016. In Europe events were held under tight security following the terrorist attacks in Paris last year, with some being canceled and others scaled down. In Germany a tip off from the intelligence services forced the local police to close off the city’s main railways stations on New Year’s Eve, but thankfully no terrorist attack took place.

The international community expressed widespread dismay with the Saudi Arabian decision to execute outspoken Shia cleric Nimr al-Nimr last week. Executed along with 46 others convicted of terror-related offenses or political activism, al-Nimr had long been a critic of the ruling Sunni elite and there was swift hostile reaction to his death with the Saudi embassy in Tehran set ablaze during a demonstration and experts predicted further significant Shia unrest across the region.

Last week saw another deadly gun attack in Israel with a gunman opening fire on a busy bar in Dizengoff Street, Tel Aviv, killing two and wounding another seven, four of them seriously. Following a tip off from his father 29 year old Arab-Israeli Nashat Milhem was identified by authorities and a massive manhunt was launched. Prime minister Benjamin Netanyahu visited the scene of the attack and said his government would “bolster law enforcement efforts” in the coming days.

In sport Sunderland took a turn beating this season’s whipping boys Aston Villa in a 3-1 battle between the two sides who both languish in the relegation zone of the English Premier League. With two from Defoe and one from van Aanholt the Black Cat’s win was comfortable but Gil did get one back for the Villa, the question is can either team escape a descent to the Championship? You’ll have to read our daily news pages to find out, but in the meantime here’s a look at the big stories we covered last week.

1. An Oklahoma tribe online casino was in the works after the Iowa Tribe of Oklahoma received permission from the government to launch and operate an international website.

Meanwhile the planet got a timely message from the animal kingdom concerning conservation last week as Koko the Gorilla, who has been learning sign language for 43 years and is said to be able to understand over 1,000 different words released a video in which she said “I am gorilla. I am flowers, animals. I am nature. Koko love man. Earth Koko love. But man stupid… stupid! Koko sorry, Koko cry. Time hurry. Fix Earth! Help Earth! Hurry! Protect Earth. Nature watches you. Hungarian Hockey Player Sings National Anthem

Jan 04, 2016 - by Dani
Hungarian hockey player sings national anthem after PA failure

Horváth volunteered to sing the anthem

László Horváth, 15-year-old Hungarian hockey player sings national anthem for his team after the PA system was broke.

The Hungarian U-16 hockey side was about to play in a youth tournament in Kamloops, Canada. Since the sound system broke, the crowd had to sing the Star Spangled Banner for their opponents. However, when it was the Hungarians’ turn, the public address system still didn’t work. But a brave Hungarian player, László Horváth volunteered to sing the anthem and exploded the 1,000 crowd.

Kaloomps This Week: Horváth turned out to be a trained singer

He sang virtually perfectly. Later he revealed that he had learned music and sang in the school choir. Gambling news reported that Hungary also won the match and the whole tournament confidently. However, László Horváth was already a national hero by that time after the video with the Hungarian hockey player sings the national anthem went viral in his home country.
